Hi.

I am having this problem on my old 64-bit Debian box (stable's Jessie) 
box, but nothing seems to fix it from what I saw online like in 
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/chrome/HdonsoC4ggI/K25FQWU9CwAJ 
and other forums. Maybe I missed something?

I installed it (even after uninstalling) but still got the errors. I 
also tried removing "deb [arch=amd64] 
http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main" from my 
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-chrome.list file and rerunning apt-get 
update and its upgrade. I got the same "W: Failed to fetch 
http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/Release  Unable to 
find expected entry 'main/binary-i386/Packages' in Release file (Wrong 
sources.list entry or malformed file)
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old 
ones used instead."

I even tried renaming /var/lib/apt/lists to see there were oudated data 
in there to cause apt commands' updates and upgrades to fail. Nope! 
Where the heck is it getting it from?
