You're putting words into my mouth. I said nothing about prioritizing memory usage over usability. (Mind you, as someone who cut his teeth on a machine with 16K of memory, I'm used to dealing with situations where conserving resources isn't a matter of choice.) I'm thinking more of the KISS principle, in a world where people have confused complexity with sophistication.
