At the Uni residence, there was no dinner service on Saturdays. We 
either ate out or made something with tins.

Our group had a 500 W stove, and what could be a ceramic dutch oven. We 
could half fill with water and it would eventually boil, because the 
thick walls worked as an insulator. A metal pot was more difficult to 
bring to the boil. Then we would make pasta.
