That was mean. Audi's first attempts weren't that great and she traded it in on a Rabbit. In retrospect it worked out well since I prefer cast iron. Old prejudice. When aluminum cans, tumblers, and so forth were introduced in the '50s there was a rumor aluminum would leach out and lead to 'hardening of the arteries'. That would be known as dementia or Alzheimer's today rather than atherosclerosis. Well before the internet allowed dissemination of bullshit there were things everybody 'knew'.
