Weigh the dry ingredients move to a suitable containers. Measure the wet, water or milk then oil moved to suitable containers. You will have to have containers for all these various ingredients so that they can be added at the specified sequence into recipe/formula. We have several Cooking shows on our Public Broadcast System and of course they sometimes weigh and sometime use dry or wet measures but the sequence of addition is almost as important as the correct measurement. The final measurement are time and temperature and these may include sequential components as well. As to my experience with measurements I am a very retired nurse who was accustomed to work with milliliters or cubic centimeters of doses and various other forms of several systems including grains milligrams, and drops aka gtt. At home I cook using usually the obsolete of course but practical teaspoon, tablespoon and cup measurement. Neither I nor my mother had kitchen scales so weight was not considered generally except in procurement. Due to my nursing experience I know the conversion of 5 ml per teaspoon, 7.5 ml per half tablespoon and 15 ml for the tablespoon. I incidentally used half tablespoons to measure sugar for my tablespoon of high quality cocoa powder but I use the same half tablespoon measure to save washing and I am not precise on the cocoa as long as it a full tablespoon. Later I will be cooking 4 oz. beef patties which are smaller than I prefer but more economical to procure than the 5 oz beef patties I prefer. That is due to inflation caused by tax breaks for the very well off including the ubiquitous billionaires. bliss
