stat is good. I found something that seems to be what I'm looking for.
It's called fileslueth or something like that. It has things like fsstat and
istat. Very good tools. What I need in reference to C is a good book. kandr2
is terrible IMO. It's like a reference book rather than a teaching book.
Within the last couple of weeks I've finally found a good C bbok that kind
of old called "C in 12 easy steps" I believe and it's from 1994 so it's a
little old. I have found most professional programmers with a couple of
exceptions are very impatient people and they are much better than you;
being a non-professional. But well I guess it takes what it taks and as long
as it takes. But I think this book is much of an improvement with the
basics. It doesn't teach algorithms and Ph.D. collegeize but the programs
work.
