Years ago, when he dumped the pick, this became much more noticeable to the general guitar playing public (but maybe not so much to the general public). Beck's style goes beyond the *music* idea. Finger picking doesn't seem to keep Mark Knopfler or Lindsey Buckingham from playing music. So what is the source of Beck's malfunction?
