Yeah, they have aged very well indeed. Can't think of anything else that
has aged so well, although IBM didn’t do too bad in that area either.

Wasn’t so true of the filler panels tho, those
crappy shiny black papier mache things.

I'd been using a PDP8S, the serial one, 5 years before that and had
moved on to the PDP9 well before that as was involved with the OS
which had the same idea as TSX for the 11s rather later than that,
essentially a multiuser RT-11. And we stole the design of the PDP9/PDP15
interface converter from DEC's circuits, made our own modules that
were copies of DEC and added the 9 track mag tape that way.

The 9 was discrete transistor, the 15 ics.
