The problem here is that anyone using your software has to trust you to offer only the licenses you are entitled to offer. Using software written by someone who would delete a copyright notice is dangerous, because it might lead to copyright violations in our applications. How do the rest of us know that you have not done the same thing with some other code none of us happen to recognize? Patricia
