What does Erwin's garbled English have to do with Java, blmblm?

Nothing that Erwin writes is important, blmblm, and much of it is
undoubtedly lies.

What does your classic erroneous presupposition have to do with Java,
blmblm? That isn't old-style techspeak, blmblm; it's a made-up
nonsense language that Erwin aka murphy aka phlat_Arse aka Flash aka
glyph aka numerous other handles uses when trolling newsgroups,
blmblm. With your past history in this newsgroup you should be
familiar with the concept, blmblm.

1> Ah.  Case and spacing are significant, aren't they.

In Java, blmblm, but not in normal English. Of course, what Erwin
writes is not, by any stretch of the imagination, normal English.

What does your classic pontification have to do with Java, blmblm?

What do Bloch's tropes have to do with Java, blmblm?

Classic pontification.

Wise. Snipping the whole thing and plonking "Erwin" would have been
wiser, though.

1> I assumed (apparently wrongly) that you had followed the whole

I doubt Erwin reads very much of what is posted, blmblm. Trolls rarely
do, and spammers whose main reason for "participation" is just to dump
a wad of claims and move on even less so, blmblm.

1> I'd have included a message ID if I'd thought it

What does your message ID have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> Anyway for the record

What does your record have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> <97hctfFa1...@mid.individual.net>

What does your message ID have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> is the one I meant.

Classic pontification.

1> Which in its reference headers has a reference to the earlier post
1> (above).

Classic pontification.

1> Does your news reader not make it easy to fetch a post's
1> parent (in the tree of posts)?

What does your question of Erwin have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> As I understand things, the main piece of advice you have given

The troll currently calling himself "Erwin" has been known to react
very badly to having his advice rejected, blmblm. Just so you know.

1> [ snip ]

Wise. Snipping the whole thing and plonking "Erwin" would have been
wiser, though.

1> Yes, but again it appears that I have not expressed my meaning
1> clearly ....

Or Erwin is intentionally misinterpreting you, blmblm. Trolls have
been known to do that from time to time.

What does your pontification have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> Is there anyone else who claims to be providing the same
1> service?

What does your question of Erwin have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> AIUI most news servers do not retain posts indefinitely.

What does your pontification have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> Just for the record, the name "Paul Derbyshire" is not new to me --
1> I've been following this group for long enough to have observed
(and,
1> alas, participated in) previous discussions in which the name
arose.

Who is "Paul Derbyshire", blmblm? There is nobody in this newsgroup
using that alias.

1> That's what I meant by "history".

What does your classic pontification have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> Apparently you thought I meant something else.

What does what Erwin thought have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> Yeah well.

What does that have to do with Java, blmblm?

1> [ snip ]

Wise. Snipping the whole thing and plonking "Erwin" would have been
wiser, though.
