Another post in this thread references a post with message ID

981c5iFlgtU3@mid.Massingill.null

and claiming to be from "n07-Ms.Massingill". It's probably clear
to anyone who's still following this subthread that I did not write
said post.

I'm responding to my own post rather than to the -- I'm not sure
whether to call it a forgery or a demonstration of spoofing skills
or what -- because that post (forgery/spoof) wasn't delivered to
me by my news server. I know about it only because someone else
replied and quoted parts of it. Whether that means it hasn't
arrived yet, or it did arrive and was discarded according to
whatever rules they employ, I don't know. I was curious enough to
check Google's archives, and couldn't find it by message ID, but
fortunately searching on *my* message ID found a thread including
the forgery/spoof.

Anyway, I think it's past time for me to stop participating in this
thread; it seems to be going in some direction I'd prefer to avoid.
I'll say for the record that in previous posts replying to those
from Steve Erwin, anything that came across as disparaging was not
meant that way (e.g., when I say "apparently I'm not expressing
myself well", that's what I mean, rather than some subtle innuendo
about the reading comprehension of someone I don't know).

It's been -- interesting.
