I think this particular hiccough was taken care of last year. The entire
computing community doesn't actually have a problem (of any significance).

There is a general problem of overuse of litigation by greedy people (or
by the organisations they control) but that is not going to go away in
our lifetimes.

Olsen had a problem, but he has dealt with it. His reputation and legacy
appear to be secure. So far as I know he is not in need of any help from
the general public.

That doesn't appear to be necessary. Just because an allegation has been
made does not immediately place the subject of the allegation in any
kind of legal limbo in the sense I understand that term.

Not after a moment of calm reflection surely?

None of that seems necessary at the moment.

If they have provably and unlawfully harmed you, that would be a matter
for your local law courts and international extradition treaties. IANAL
but I suggest you put aside this thought. Not every wrong can be
righted. Perfect justice is an unattainable ideal.

Meanwhile, Java programs can still be written and will know the time.
