You are tilting at windmills over an obsolete language. 
Let C/C++ die, it had a time and a place, now it is time to move on.

20 years ago C was the top programming language, now it barely clings on in the bottom of the top 10.

Swift/Kotlin is the future. 
Apple created Swift to replace Object C, then IBM got on board when they saw the compiler and the productivity improvement.
Swift uses the same memory layout so you can pass data structures back and forth with C code.

Now Google is pushing Kotlin hard as a replacement for Java.

Kotlin is nearly identical to Swift, with a nice IDE that corrects your mistakes like XCode does.
