Never seen any here in Australia.

I haven't found a problem with that and I used
the Golf for 50 years and used it a lot on gravel
roads too. We don't do road salting here tho.

Never had to do that with any of mine.

Never saw that with the Golf and I never did take it to
the junk yard. a mate who is into old cars has it now.

Never did that with any of my cars.
