They don't have your account details if you top up manually electronically.

I supose "they" call it a choice not to do online payments?
I "assimilated" but have the same concerns "F Murtz" has.

Fact is if you don't, as example, with power supply mines "Origin"
they charge you for not "doing it" online 33% more, as well as charge
"$" (not sure, with Testra it's $10) to post a bill!

My bills are mainly emailed to me and paid for with/by online bank,

Merry Christmas ALL

I have never cared and if I did plan to murder someone
etc would just get an anonymous Opal card to travel with
to do the deed or get away from the scene of the crime.

Be interesting to see what the cops would do
if the Cronulla riots happened again today tho
with the Opal records. Hopefully the most stupid
of the terrorists are being tracked as we type.

> Fact is if you don't, as example, with power supply mines

Didn't notice that because I have always done it online
as soon as it was possible. In fact when Telecom started
to allow you to pay your phone bill on the phone with
an automated service which I automated at my end too,
the first day it went live, they were so swamped by people
using it that I ended up with a human and she was pretty
pissed off when I said I wanted to use the new machine.

> as well as charge "$" (not sure, with Testra it's $10) to post a bill!

Yeah, but that one does make sense because those who insist
on the dinosaur stuff should be paying the cost of posting them
a bill when it can be done much more cheaply electronically.

With Power you have to check evey so often, and ask "I'm shopping
around" they will immediately cut your price (did for me).

Most of the shopping malls enforce it.
This Christmas Carol is now banned in all public schools because some

It take a special step not widely known to get an anonymous pensioner
gold card and I still would not trust it.
When you apply they get all your details with centrelink.and stuff is
linked to the card.
You can apply to remove your info but if you lose it they can not get it
back to you.

As a self funded pensioner don't have to "worry" abbout Centrelink
morons.
Although I still had to front them to see what consesions I "might" be
entitled to? They also have access to "your" Australian bank account
but insist on this time wasting "interview" where the answers are
known before you start.

Really have to consider drawing all my money out and taking it to

If I was going to murder someone or do some terrorism,
I'd get another Opal card and use that for the murder in
case they keep track of who got the card in the first place
or can work out who it is by checking the other use of that
anonymous card and pin it on me by using the cameras etc.

> As a self funded pensioner don't have

You do to get the card that entitles you to 4 free trips a year.

> Although I still had to front them to see
> what consesions I "might" be entitled to?

Basically 4 free trips a year, anywhere in the
state for the full trip with stops for 12 hours fine.

Free car rego, but not free CTP insurance,
Free drivers license.
Some discounts on power and rates.
Much cheaper scripts.

I should get off my arse and do the paperwork,
its costing me about $1k a year, mostly on the
rego and license and scripts.

> They also have access to "your" Australian bank

You appear to be able to do it all online now.

Too much hassle in my case and they can see you've done that anyway.

Been ripped off all my working life!
Unlike "our" Islamofascist oligarchies!

Vote Coalition, Labor, "Greens" last Federal State and Council!
Or you are voting for Islam and Sharia.

Tax office even helped themselves to $40,000 of my super under some
"retrospective" (Labor) tax law, my only notice was from my super
fund.
