To Intel, that project is just something to fill a few slots
in the fab production schedule. Same as their GPU business.

The Bitcoin chips are interesting, because not only have they
managed to convince someone to buy some of the chips for
box manufacturing. They also look to be using the Bitcoin
chips as fab "pipe cleaner" designs. When tuning a process for
yield, you need a test chip, and normal test chips are pretty
boring. Why not make a test chip... you can sell. I can see
the attraction there.
