  - default current KDE Neon has snap
  - default current Neon has NO snap packages installed (see w/ snap list)
  - there are simple instructions to remove (sudo apt remove --purge snapd)
  - we are advised to create a nosnapd (w/ or w/o .pref extension) in
etc/apt/preferences.d
  - that file contains 3 lines
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php%3Ff=309&t=175544.html
  - default Neon has flatpak
  - such as Discover has a settings function which can have snap
unchecked flatpak checked
