Trouble with those is that they don’t work so well
for people doing a single meal for just one person.

No different to the microwave tho I prefer to do it by weight,
easier to do and more accurate. I do the rice in a rigid plastic
container with a lid and put that on a plate because it does
boil over a bit in the initial burst of full power. That container
has the microwaved curry from the freezer added and the
whole curry meal is eaten from that with a splayd.

Its only marginally more to program the microwave, first
phase 2 mins on high, second phase 10 mins on mid-low.
