I don't think that's the case, here: It's part of the SM Mail & News Settings, AND it worked fine for many years, until something happened (probably, "after some problems/crashes" as I said). I checked with the IMAP server, and they confirmed that this behavior was due to the client (SM), so they couldn't do anything about it. My purpose in this setting was to have an 'online backup' of my recent emails, since the IMAP's webmail can be accessed anywhere, and using this setting all the messages I received (and downloaded) in recent months would still be available to me, anywhere/anywhen. -- Best, s) alexyu
