But because I already use XMouseButton, I inserted a <CTRL><TAB> after a middle mouse button click within explorer. In principle this works, but the problem is, that the new TAB is not inserted behind the active TAB (as in Firefox) but as the last TAB, so a <CTRL><TAB> doesn't activate the new TAB.
