Depends on just where one was looking, for there was a "100%!" 
prediction back in 2022/23.

But the "U.S. monthly projected recession probability 2020-2025"

Published by Statista Research Department, Jan 3, 2025 stated:

"By November 2025, it is projected that there is a probability of 33.56 
percent that the United States will fall into another economic 
recession. This reflects a significant decrease from the projection of 
the preceding month."

The basic takeaway is that the Market pundits who had disbelieved the 
'soft landing' even as that was happening were now shifted to believe 
that Trump would have more friendly 'free market' policies than Harris.

Of course, we are now learning that this was highly and overly 
optimistic, as reflected in Atlanta Fed documentation of GDP forecast 
surveys which has whiplashed their prediction needle from +2.3% GDP 
Growth to -2.4% GDP Contraction in less than one month:
