It has according to the spec: <https://www.lg.com/nz/monitors/e2742v/> You need to connect via HDMI (or display port but you don't have it) to get the sound from the monitor. I have a similar version but from Amazon Basic Range and the sound is pretty good. I bought the monitor because it has three input/out ports - VGA, HDMI and Display Port.
