All operators are desperately trying to wring more money out of their customers at the moment. Operating costs (energy, wages) have gone up. Capital investment costs have risen with the rise in borrowing rates. They used to make money by attracting new customers in a growing market. But now everyone who ever wants a mobile now has one so it’s now a mature market.
