His phone has to actively search for the home WiFi in order to connect to it. (1) The phones of passerbys detect the SSID of the WiFis they hear on the street, and google maps them. This is used so that a phone in the world can know where it is by identifying the SSIDs in the vicinity. And inside buildings, by identifying certain BT emitters. Some people consider this an invasion of their privacy. How? He is Arlen :-) He has mentioned those things many times, only interesting if you are similarly minded. Very impractical, contrary to what he says.
