Don't think so. I have the locations permission set to permanently on, and have turned off the phone's ability to manage the app, so that hopefully it will be just left alone to run unhindered. When I first unlock the phone with my finger it displays normally for a second or so, but then immediately hangs as originally described. -- Fake news kills!
