For Debian install you need to dd to USB or use cd. https://www.ostechnix.com/how-to-create-bootable-usb-drive-using-dd-command/ And I recommend using the net-install with non-free-firmware and I don't recommend using Kali because it's a rolling release and never will be completely stable. Also you need to verify the .iso is a good download first. https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/cd-including-firmware/current/amd64/iso-cd/ These things are not hard to do.
