I don't know if this is useful, but the method I found for resetting a USB device was to unbind then rebind it with something like: echo '3-1.4' >/sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/unbind echo '3-1.4' >/sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/bind Where '3-1.4' is the endpoint name for the device found by looking in the kernel log. E.g. for this example I ran the 'dmesg' command and looked for my web camera and found these entries: usb 3-1.4: new high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-pci usb 3-1.4: New USB device found, idVendor=2232, idProduct=1018 usb 3-1.4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 usb 3-1.4: Product: WebCam SC-13HDL11431N I don't know if this will help with your particular problem. -- Tixy
