I love timeghosting (term invented by Randall Munroe). Other
examples: Cleopatra, who ruled Egypt in the BC years, lived closer
to the present than to when the pyramids were built. The first
tyrannosaurs lived closer to the release date of Jurassic Park
than to the actual Jurassic. I've been using email for more than
a quarter of the time since the (American) Civil War. I've lived
through more than a quarter of all US history.

Robert Scott, who died on his way back from the south pole, likely
died on the same day that the Titanic sank. Shakespeare and Cervantes
died on the same date (though not the same day). Lincoln and Darwin
were born on the same day. The two deadliest disasters in Washington
DC in the past hundred years happened during the same hour (a plane
crash and an unrelated Metrorail crash, both at 4 pm on January 13,
1982).

Two of the most infamous recent US prisoners died just five days apart
(Robert Hanssen ("the spy next door") 6 days ago, and Ted Kaczynski
("the unabomber") 1 day ago. They had spent most of their sentences
in the same federal prison. Another coincidence is that "the spy next
door" (the title of a book about the FBI turncoat) was almost literally
that to me, as he and I both lived in the same town when he was caught.
(I never met him, but I had walked past his house, and past his dead
drop.)

JFK, C.S. Lewis, and Aldous Huxley died on the same day. So did the
US's 2nd and 3rd presidents, who both died on the 50th anniversary of
US independence.

No. They're all more recent than that. I'll answer in a couple days
unless someone asks for more time.
