Same here on mine in my office.  My wife upstairs doesn't want it wired, 
and then complains when things lag occasionally streaming something. I 
could easily get a wire to it, but she just don't want the cable.

Fixed a friends laptop recently and had to do a full install of the 
operating system on it and told him I would hang on to it for the night 
and do all the updates since he was living out of a camper and had no 
good internet service.  I hadn't noticed while doing the work on it that 
it didn't have an Ethernet port.  First one I had seen without it.  I 
thought WTF?  It did have good wi-fi speeds and it wasn't as painful as 
I thought it would have been, but it still would have been much faster 
wired.
