Unknown...? > The issue is about idiomatic constructs, i.e. the mass of code running out there. I think that special circumstances and perverse cases do not really matter. Even more considering that C code that is so bad as to manage to perform worse than some interpreted language is most likely pretty much unmaintainable too, so doomed to fast extinction in the digital ecosystem.
