Not at all. My In-laws had three redundant backups of their computer and
didn't even know it.

True, which is why the user *DOES NOTHING*. Backups need to be
REDUNDANT. Backups need to be AUTOMATIC. One Backup must be OFF-SITE.

File History is a cluster fuck that doesn't work well and screws up the
system, so most people, if they know about it at all, turn it off.

If you do not have off-site backups of the data that is most important to
you, you might as well not have any backups at all.

The cost is lose everything or spend a small amount of money to protect
it. If she can't spend $5 a month, then the data isn't important to her.
