May or may not work.   Plugging in an IP into the URL will often work
if there is only one virtual host on that IP.    Look at a data-center
with rows of 60 blade hosts in each rack, each server could be
serving dozens of different hosts - i.e.   www.host1.example.com
and www.host15.example.com (and all in-between) may ALL be on host
198.51.100.10.  The web server daemon knows which page to return
because the HTTP "GET" command asks for the appropriate host-NAME
(not an IP) i.e "GET www.host1.example.com/index.html"
