Setup a new computer with Windows or OS X. You are an admin user with the ability to escalate privs to 'root'. Your system is vulnerable to many attacks that it would not be if you used a non-admin user. Setup a Windows machine with a non-admin user and many things do not work at all, especially many games. Setup a OS X machine with a non-admin user and everything pretty much works as you would expect, with some minor annoyances. > Besides, while this is obviously aimed at Windows, I'd say that in general > the first sentence of the summary is not even correct: it is debatable > whether the default security of a given Linux distribution is on par with > OpenBSD or systems like AIX I wouldn't think so, but out-of-the-box it is still a decade or two in front of Windows. -- When the stars threw down their spears And watered heaven with their tears, Did He smile his work to see?
