Little? How about none? I have a 2009 MacBook Pro that I am using right now that to the best of my knowledge has only ever been shutdown to have RAM added and an SSD put in. Other than changing the hardware I can't think of a single reason to ever shutdown a MacBook. -- Quis custodiet opsos custodes
