I read somewhere that one of Trump's close associates had started a new social media platform that was identical to Twitter, except it was not going to be censored or limited in any way. After all, politicians should obviously be free to undermine democracy and promote chaos through totally unfounded accusations. They should be free to incite rebellion and armed insurrection against elected government. They should be free to lie and mislead as much as they want, regardless of the cost to society and human lives. Laws are for other people, not politicians. Of course within hours of opening, the unfiltered and uncensored platform was swamped with porn and adverts for prostitutes. Who could have guessed? So the uncensored platform had to start censoring. You can't have freedom without limitations. You can't have free speech without limitations. You can't give people the freedom to walk down the street safely without limiting other people's freedom to fire guns, or drive at any speed. You can't give people the freedom to live without insults and prejudice without also limiting people's freedom to insult and be bigots. The only questions are where you draw the lines, and who should draw them.
