I selected the first newsgroup in an account.  (I have three newsgroup
accounts.)  While holding down my Shift key, I then selected the last
newsgroup in the same account.  Finally, I right-clicked to get the
pull-down context menu and selected Mark Newsgroup Read.  All newsgroups
were marked as read WITHOUT any prompt asking if I were sure.
