Troll is an interesting word. I see lots of gripes about certain posters
by other posters. And then there are the counter gripes going right
back. Each of course calls the other a troll. So will the real troll
please stand up. Hmmm, I don't see anyone standing.

Wikipedia says a troll is a person who starts flame wars or
intentionally upsets people on the Internet by posting inflammatory and
digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages.

Did that definition really say trolls post off-topic messages? And this
is an Android newsgroup? Oh my.

Bottom line (my guess). Many people who filter likely filter those that
they just don't like. Or perhaps more likely just say they filter them
and still sneak a peek since they often are soon caught posting to or
about the so called filtered troll.

I don't have any trouble remembering those I don't like so it would be
pretty easy to just not open them. But where's the fun in that. It's
kinda like reading only the good parts of a newspaper.

And using a TB newsreader makes it very easy to do that if one wanted
to. However as I said several 100 words up, YMMV.

BTW it is difficult to do that using the Groundhog (Android) newsreader.
Does that sentence now make my post on-topic? Whew.
