An alternative would be to put all of the discovered links in to a dynamically created submenu, that way you can display the main menu immediately, and start fetching the links. Any delay would only occur if attempting to open the sub menu while still fetching. The main menu wouldn't then need redisplaying, so no need to worry about its position. ---druck
