Then explain XBox Live. Looking at it, fully 90% of the games available (not "pushed", "available") look like throwbacks to the 8-bit age. This despite the fact that the hardware is completely set in stone - other than possibly available storage - before game development even begins. Here's a tip: not everyone wants the latest 3D-rendered monstrosity. Some like simpler, some like retro, some even like stick figure games. Try not to confuse "X has Y" with "X is limited to having Y". They're not the same thing.
