So, what > makes this the coolest laptop of the 1990s? I used to long for a Tadpole SPARC > laptop about 15 years ago, when they came with dual processor models. Amazing > technology. There was a tadpole sparcbook in the lab I worked at, maybe around 93/94 if memory is working. And there was also a non-sun-micro sparc workstation 'clone' made by a korean company, but I've forgotton the name of the make. And we had a real NeXT cube! The tadpole was a nice laptop, looked a bit like my old Tosh 3100/386. A few years later I had a powerpc thinkpad (IBM, before lenovo) which ran AIX. Sadly those were withdrawn after 2 or 3 years. Of course around the same time we were starting to put early versions of linux onto x86 thinkpads. -- Gnd -|o----|- Vcc Hey computer, what's the weather in Sydney? trig -| 555 |- dschrg $> finger o:sydney@graph.no|tail -1|espeak o/p -| |- thrsh rst -|-----|- cntrl Steve555
