Hi!

I successfully configured my thunderbird (TB) for gmail pop3 access.
However I have a doubt.

Authentication method has different choices (I am translating from PT -
they may not exactly correspond to real English TB locale):

Normal password
Encrypted password
Kerberos/GSSAPI
NTLM

This works for Normal password, but not for Encrypted password (I didn't
check the other options).

What does "Normal password" mean?
Is it secure?
Why do I need to enable in gmail "less secure apps"? What does this mean?
