I think you can combine honest, straight-forward statements with decency and diplomacy. But, more importantly, if you're the president, you need to talk less and do more. (Kind of like the "speak softly and carry a big stick" approach.) Telling people (over and over) what you're "going to do" is not nearly as effective as ACTUALLY doing it. But I know why politicians in the U.S. do it, they want to gauge the public reaction before going forward. It's kind of the "chickenshit way" of governing. As for most in the mainstream media, yeah, it's open war. They're worthless assholes. But don't make their job easier by responding to EVERY petty, little bullshit insult. Acosta is a petty little ass. I would be happy to never have to hear his name again. I wish there was a killfile for the Internet, like there is one for newsgroups. -- The more I see of Windows, the more I like Linux.
