I was just thinking the same. If light lenses, I can't see any reason why 
the postulated gravitational waves not to diffuse in the chamber, the 
universe is, thus to become completely noise. Clearly undetectable by 
their very own mechanism. 

Thank you for your contribution to this discussion, they are trying to 
avoid.
