On GNU/Linux changing the permissions on a file or directory can be accomplished in less than two seconds. How about Microshit Winblows? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Don't even ask. That junk OS takes the cake for the shittiest design imaginable. For example, changing the location of the TEMP directory (which Microshit childishly calls a "folder") can cause serious printing problems. Why? The new TEMP does not inherit the permissions of the old. To change permissions, just undergo this ritual: icacls %temp% /inheritance:r icacls %temp% /grant %username%:(OI)(CI)F /T /C icacls %temp% /grant Administrators:(OI)(CI)F /T /C icacls %temp% /grant System:(OI)(CI)F /T /C md %temp%\Low icacls %temp%\Low /setintegritylevel (OI)(CI)low Holy fuck! All that nonsense is required just to fix a problem that should not happen in the first place -- and ONLY if you're lucky enough to understand the nature of the trouble.
