The Shah was a vicious dictator put into power by the United States via the 
CIA. The United States replaced the ELECTED secular leader of Iran, Mahammad 
Mosaddegh. The Islamic Revolution in Iran was in REACTION to the U.S. backed 
dictator and conditions he imposed on his people. Had we never opposed the 
will of the Iranian people (and ousted their ELECTED and secular government) 
the history of Iran would have been completely different. So just another 
example of U.S. interference into another country's sovereignty and the 
decisions of her people.
