Is the Mount Palomar Observatory still useful?  The universe is a LOT bigger
than you apparently believe.

The overriding point, however, is that the TTT has been stalled because
of primitive, superstitious nonsense that is being spewed by a tiny,
but vocal, minority.  Are we willing to suspend progressive scientific
inquiry just to accommodate a pack of anachronistic weirdos?

We may as well shut down all rocket launches, satellites, and space
exploration just because a handful of Baptist ministers claim that
such activity is a violation of God's territory.
