I've seen what I need: a 16 pin DIP header that plugs into an
ordinary IC socket, but one with a ribbon cable coming off it.

But now that I want to buy them, I can't find the right terms
to define same, at least to please DigiKey or Mouser. I keep
getting wrong things.

Suggestions?
