another item not fully developed is ocean tidal currents, there are a 
few test systems out there, tidal turbines they are called.   seems 
corrosion and fouling are drawback, environmental impact too.

but water is 784 times denser than air, (sealevel)

these links have some stuff, for starters, do not know of any full time 
systems owned by a utility, (not mature tech yet)
