I have to admit, I'm not certain what the source of your discomfort is.

It may be that you want technology to be able to serve whatever goals 
mankind sets, and that no natural laws should be allowed to stand in the 
way. That is, if conservation of momentum prevents the salvation of 
mankind, in your eyes, then the originator of the conservation of 
momentum is an evil man.

It may be that you find relativity to be incomprehensible, and anything 
incomprehensible you consider to be evil, a way of suppressing the 
common man.

It may be that you think that all modern technological marvels like 
quantum tunneling and nuclear power plants are explainable by ordinary 
Newtonian ideas, though you're not quite sure how.

It may be that you're simply an anti-Semite and don't like Jewish science.
