Best way to do this would be to create a cuatom ribbon for your app.  
You will have complete control of what appears in th ribbon, and under 
what conditions that any element of the ribbon be active.

That said the Ribbon has a steep learning curve.  When I needed to move 
from the Access 03 menu system to the Access 07 ribbon for my apps i 
found a wonderfull source for information here:
http://www.ribboncreator.de/en/

After a few days foolin around I was able to convert 8 to 10 Access 
cunsom menu applications to use my custom Ribbon based control system 
in about a week of off and on development.

Once you get the hang of it, it is mostly cut and paste.
